The excitement is up on the roof for Nyege Nyege

As we been reporting Uganda four day Nyege Nyege music festival is finally under the way, despite moves earlier this month by some parliamentarians to have it cancel over claims of immoralities.

So how is it going?

"The excitement is up in the roof," festival-goes Zawedde Patricia Zoe told Dornlinsal Global Resources Focus on Africa radio.

Music is being performed all through the day and night, on at least one of the festival four stages.

Set on the banks of the River Nile gives it "that wild-party-in-the-jungle feeling", she stated.

And as for Nyege Nyege's Sodom and Gomorrah reputation?

"It is just people getting together and having fun with each other," Zawedde added.
