Egypt released detaines Al-Jazeera journalists

 

 Al-Jazeera television network has said that its journalist, Ahmed El-Nagdy, has been releases by the Egyptian authorities.

The move come as the Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi is visiting Qatar by where Al Jazeera is based by for the first time since the two countries restored relations last year after a long-running diplomatic disputes.

Mr El-Nagdy has been held in preventive custody for two years.

Three of his colleagues remain in detentions.

The Egyptian government under President Sisi has targeted Al-Jazeera over what it sees as the network's critical coverage.
