Kenyans arrested due to acrobatic stunts on moving taxi

Kenyan police stated that they have arrested two suspects who appeared in a video “dangerously displaying acrobatic antics” in a moving minibus taxi in the capital of kenya, Nairobi.

In the clip that has been shared widely online, the suspects have their legs hanging out as they hold on to the taxi's door rail. One of the young men flips over until the legs touch the roof of the vehicle.

The second man at the same time is seen stepping along the side windows of a second vehicle by a bus at moving in the same direction.

Police said the two conductors and the driver had been arrested “pending arraignment on various traffic violations”.

“The National Police Service condemns such reckless and irresponsible conduct by the bus crew that exposed passengers and other road users to danger. Such conduct will not be condoned and stern action will be taken,” the police said in the report.

The police have urged bus associations to instil discipline in their fleet and deal with rogue operators.

Cases of commuter buses, locally known as matatus, flouting traffic rules and incidences of indiscipline by their operators are common.
